Animal Adaptation Experiment
(9/27) Mrs. Chrestman’s students have been learning about animal adaptations. They performed a hands-on experiment to see how blubber helps protect arctic animals in cold water. Students used shortening, plastic bags, and duct tape to create a “blubber “ mitt. They made predictions about how their hands would feel in a tub of cold water with the blubber mitt on and off. Students learned that blubber helped them hold their hands in water much longer without getting cold.
