(4/24) Ms. Griffith’s 3rd grade class took a break from computers and paper to strengthen their reading skills through play! They had a blast with board games focused on inference, context clues, and cause & effect — learning through laughter and teamwork!

(4/23) Mrs. Collums' class had fun reviewing their multiplication facts last week. Students competed against each other in a multiplication battle, and who ever won got to go hunt for an egg with a prize inside.

(4/23) Mrs. Brown’s music classes celebrated Earth Day today by choosing to clean up trash around our outdoor areas. The students cheerfully all pitched in to help! This activity was an extension of their upcoming Music Showcase entitled “This Great Earth” that will take place next Monday night!

(4/22) For their May service project, DTC Beta Club will be collecting supplies for the Golden Triangle Autism Center. The last day to turn in items will be May 1st. Thank you in advance for your support!!

(4/22) For their April project, DTC Beta Club went outside and made an infographic for Earth Day.

(4/17) Mrs. Chrestman’s 3rd graders enjoying participating in the glow party to celebrate the completion of their reading gate test. Mrs. Chrestman and Mrs. Wilbanks' fourth graders got to paint the pots they sculpted on their field trip last month.

(4/17) Third Grade students are officially done with their Reading State Test! To celebrate their hard work, they had a Glow Dance Party and extra recess with popsicles. The students had a BLAST!

(4/17) Students in Mrs. Owen and Ms. Dee's room were given a set budget with a menu to order from the Bunny Shop to celebrate spring. They added totals and discussed money from the shift of cents to dollars, etc. They also worked out several other math problems related to money.

(4/17) Ms. Holcomb's students completed an outside task card activity on geometry and measurement. The students loved getting to spend some time outside!
