Thanksgiving Headbands! (11/22) Ms. Lydia’s students got to play a Thanksgiving version of the game Headbands where they asked yes or no questions to figure out what Thanksgiving food they were. This is always a favorite of the kids to play each year.
Happy Veteran's Day (11/11) Third grade students enjoyed a field trip to honor our veterans at the annual Veteran’s Day parade and program. Afterwards, they had lunch at Howard Stafford Park.
Text Feature Surgery-Shields (11/8) Ms. Shield's third grade ELA students wrapped up their unit on text features this week with text feature surgery! Shoutout to Leah Simmons for donating all the surgery gear to the classes! Thank you!!
Make a Monster (10/31) To review their unit on Narrative writing, Mrs. Hodum's students made monsters, wrote narratives about their monsters, and then shared them with their classmates. The students had a spooky, good time!
Polar Express & Parties! (12/20) DTC had a day full of fun yesterday! Students rode the Polar Express, drank hot chocolate, had a dance party in the gym, and pizza parties in their classrooms! We hope each and every student knows just how loved and special they are to all of us! Merry Christmas!
Creating Coffee Cups (12/20) Mrs. Stanford's art classes enjoyed designing and creating a holiday themed "coffee" cup. Thanks to Maes To Go Cup for donating the cups for them to use! You can look for custom designed coffee sleeves by these students soon on you favorite drink from Maes!
Hodum's Holiday Fun! (12/19) Mrs. Hodum's third graders had a little fun during Camp out and Read day incorporating Science, Stem and Art! First, they made candles using crayon transferring. Then, they made Christmas trees out of popsicle sticks. These projects were sure to get them in the holiday spirit!!
Sledding into Christmas! (12/19) Mrs. Bishop's PE students were sledding their way into Christmas break this week!🎄🎅🛷🦌First, they were split into teams and raced to build a snowman. Second, they became Santa on a sleigh with a reindeer pulling him. They had so much fun playing these games!
Camp Out and Read (12/18) Camp Out and Read day was a SUCCESS! The kids had a blast getting those last few AR points to meet their 2nd nine weeks goal. All students who met their goal will be rewarded in January!
