(2/6) It's Election Day . Beta members gathered in the gym before school to introduce themselves as candidates before the big vote . Good Luck to all members who are running for offices today!

(2/6) Mrs. Hodum's students played a fast-paced Super Bowl–themed text feature review game where students practice identifying and using text features while working together as a team. Players answered review questions to gain points, reinforcing key skills through fun, cooperative learning and friendly competition. 🏈📚

(2/5) Today we celebrated Mrs. Kirk and her retirement! 🎉 We are thankful for the time she spent at DT Cox, and for the impact she made while she was here. Wishing her all the best in this next chapter—she will be missed! 💛🖤

(2/5) Mrs. Boone and Mrs. Steele's classes enjoyed a sweet treat this morning for raising the most Jingle for Janitors money before Christmas break.

(12/11) Our fourth graders had an incredible day on Wednesday! 🎶
They attended a performance by the Tupelo Golden Wave Orchestra, where students not only enjoyed beautiful music, but also got to explore a variety of instruments and hear the unique sounds each one makes.
After the performance, students enjoyed a picnic at Ballard Park, and had a blast playing on the new inclusive playground. 🌳✨ It was truly an amazing experience!
A huge thank you to the Tupelo Golden Wave Orchestra for welcoming our students, and giving them such a memorable opportunity! 🎻👏

(10/8) 🍎🍏 Apple Tasting Fun! 🍏🍎
As an extension to their study of apples, Mrs. Andrews’ and Mrs. Hodum’s classes became apple scientists! They explored three delicious kinds of apples — Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, and Pink Lady. Students used their senses to observe the color, texture, and taste of each apple, then compared their favorites by creating a picture chart to show their favorite apples.
