(10/17) During Science time, Mrs. Hodum's class explored patterns in nature—and what better way to practice than with apples! Students used colorful apple patterns to show their understanding of repetition and sequence. Then, they put a creative twist on it with their Apple Name Activity, where each student designed a unique pattern using the letters in their own name! It was a perfect mix of science, art, and creativity—and their classroom looked like a cheerful apple orchard by the end! 🍏🍎✨

(10/17) Mrs. Andrews’ classes had so much fun representing the distributive property of multiplication with Play-Doh!
Students rolled, shaped, and created models to see how numbers can be broken apart and multiplied in different ways. Hands-on learning like this helps math come alive — making it easier to understand, and a lot more fun!

(10/16) The classes in each grade who raised the most money for our Read-a-Thon were rewarded with a pizza party today!! Congratulations to Mrs. Steele and Mrs. Rowe's homerooms!!

(10/16) As a reward for raising the most money in third grade for our Read-a-Thon, Dalton Ray was appointed principal for the day. He did an outstanding job!!

(10/16) Mrs. McNeal's class took advantage of the cool weather, and went outside to do their point of view task cards with partners.

(10/15) As a reward for being the top money raiser for our Read-a-Thon in 4th grade, Ruthie Kidd was appointed principal for the day. She did a magnificent job!

(10/14) Mrs. Chrestman’s students explored the world of slime as a way to not only learn science, but practice their reading, writing, and listening skills in English. Students watched a video and read about how slime is made. They answered questions about the video, and then made their own slime. Before writing about the activity, they chose the best text structure to explain the steps to making slime. Finally, they wrote a paragraph using sequence words to describe the steps. It was a messy but fun way to integrate science and language skills!

(10/15) Join us for a night of Family Fun! Come in your costume, shop the book fair, then visit each classroom around the school for special treats!
