Glow Parties and Painting Pots (4/17) Mrs. Chrestman’s 3rd graders enjoying participating in the glow party to celebrate the completion of their reading gate test. Mrs. Chrestman and Mrs. Wilbanks' fourth graders got to paint the pots they sculpted on their field trip last month.
You Read It, You Rocked It, Now Let's "Glow" Crazy (4/17) Third Grade students are officially done with their Reading State Test! To celebrate their hard work, they had a Glow Dance Party and extra recess with popsicles. The students had a BLAST!
Bunny Shop (4/17) Students in Mrs. Owen and Ms. Dee's room were given a set budget with a menu to order from the Bunny Shop to celebrate spring. They added totals and discussed money from the shift of cents to dollars, etc. They also worked out several other math problems related to money.
Geometry and Measurement (4/17) Ms. Holcomb's students completed an outside task card activity on geometry and measurement. The students loved getting to spend some time outside!
Division Mystery Puzzles (4/17) Mrs. L. Collums' class had fun reviewing division facts by completing a mystery puzzle. Students had to first solve division problems correctly. Then, they cut apart parts of a mixed up picture and glued them back together in the correct place by their answers.
Missing Bunny! (4/17) Mrs. Hodum's students practiced narrative writing by creating a newspaper article about the missing Easter Bunny. The students loved this activity!
Egg-citing Typing Challenge (4/16) 4th graders from Mrs. Ball's activity classes (Heatherly & Spicer's homerooms) had an Egg-citing Typing Challenge. Students picked eggs and had to type the word correctly without looking at the keyboard. The student with the most points when time was called was the grand winner. There were extra prize eggs hidden as well. The students were EGG-CITED!
Fraction Bunnies (4/15) Students in Mrs. Kirk's class made fraction bunnies! Students picked an egg with a fraction inside. Then, they made the shape. They used a rubric to make sure they had an understanding of fractions.
On the Hunt (4/15) In preparation for upcoming state test, Ms. Spicer's students were on the hunt for test prep questions. After the hunt, they went inside and worked with their group to answer the questions in exchange for candy/prizes.
