(5/23) The third grade math department at D.T. Cox are already making plans to make the next school year a success!

(5/23) DT Cox teachers celebrate Black and Gold Day. Warrior Pride!!

(5/21) DT Cox Elementary’s Warrior Club members enjoyed an end-of-year educationally fun visit to Tupelo’s Buffalo Park. The club had their own zookeeper guide who taught many interesting facts along the way about the animals at the park! The boys were able to get up close and feed many animals- including goats, a tortoise, a giraffe, and many more. After a picnic lunch, the zookeeper brought out several animals for the boys to have a touch experience!

(5/21) Mrs. Chrestman and Mrs. Wilbanks students went to the Toyota Experience Center in Blue Springs, where they learned how the Toyota Corolla is produced. Students rode trams around the plant, where they were able to see the process of making the car, from the press shop to welding and painting, including the use of giant robots. Students also enjoyed the interactive gallery, where they could do several activities including painting a car using computerization and even guiding a robot to wire a car. It was a fun day of learning, and we are especially grateful to our bus drivers and chaperones who helped make this trip possible.

(5/20) After a unit of study on the Titanic, third and fourth grade gifted students enjoyed "Dinner on the Titanic" Tuesday night. Students were able to dress in their fancy clothing, enjoy a meal together, and listen as several students shared Titanic passenger stories. This was a wonderful night for all involved. We would like to say a special thanks to our parent volunteers, Sarah Todd and the PHS Band for musical entertainment, and Ollie Rose Catering for the fabulous dinner!

(5/20)Saturday was Speech Language Pathologist Day! We would like to recognize Ms. Lydia Short. Thank you for all you do for D.T. Cox!!

(5/17) Fourth Graders at D.T. Cox walked the halls for their final "farewell" to elementary school this morning. Students and parents enjoyed a video of their time at D.T. Cox and students were able to sign a banner to be displayed their senior year! We are so proud of these students and all of their accomplishments. They will be greatly missed!

(5/17) DTC students had a blast at field day on Thursday!

(5/16) PHS Senior class walked the halls of DT Cox one final time before their graduation on Friday.
