(2/6) Mrs. Hodum's students played a fast-paced Super Bowl–themed text feature review game where students practice identifying and using text features while working together as a team. Players answered review questions to gain points, reinforcing key skills through fun, cooperative learning and friendly competition. 🏈📚

(1/23) Ms. Spicer's class did a brain break snow dance today in hopes for snow instead of ice this weekend!

(1/22) Mrs. Hodum's students' weekly reading story focused on a town that experienced destruction caused by a tornado. With the upcoming threat of icy weather in our own community, students extended their learning by exploring severe weather events. They compared tornadoes and snowstorms through a Jeopardy-style game, allowing students to work together, apply their knowledge, make comparisons, and use emerging meteorology skills in an engaging way.

(1/16) Mrs. Steele’s classes learned about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the lasting impact he had and still has today. Students participated in an “eggsperiment” that demonstrated how eggs may have different outer appearances, like people, but on the inside they are all the same. Students discussed equality and the importance of treating people equally no matter their differences.
