Ms. Luther's math students had some fun while reviewing what they've learned by working in small groups to find the correct answers to a spiral math review Escape room.

(3/31) Third grade UFO students are totally engaged in MakerSpace activities! MakerSpace allows students to create and problem solve while developing thinking skills and talents! The students have loved everything from drawing to paper airplanes to making bridges out of cardboard….plus much more!!

(3/31) To enrich their knowledge of area and perimeter, Mrs. Collums' students studied what blueprints looked like and why you might need one. Then, the students worked in groups to construct their own blueprints and found the area and perimeter of each room. They presented their blueprints to the class and asked questions to their peers based on their drawings.

(3/29) As a part of their community service project, DTC Beta Club members began campus clean up this week. Members spent time picking up trash and sweeping sidewalks.

(3/28) Students and staff had so much fun during our annual Color Run on Saturday. Thank you to our PTO for organizing this event, and to everyone who supported our school! Click the link for more photos!

(3/28) Mrs. Cortes' class is reading "Number the Stars" by Lois Lowry. The story is about a family who takes in a Jewish girl during WWII. Students were challenged to pack a bag that they could run with in under 10 minutes to show the class what they would bring if they had to leave their home immediately like the book character Ellen. The students really enjoyed this activity!

(3/25) Thank you so much for everyone who supported D.T. Cox library this week by visiting the Scholastic Book Fair! All money raised goes directly back into the library for new books and supplies. We had a very successful week!

(3/23) D.T. Cox would like to recognize Mrs. Leshae Collums for being nominated for the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science (PAEMST). Her application was selected to move on to the national level!

(3/25) Mrs. Rowland's third graders have a new class pet. Meet Lizzo the lizard! The students are super excited about learning to take care of it. The lizard is used as a reward for good behavior and hard work!

(3/25) D.T. Cox students went on their first field trip in a couple of years this week to see the play Lion King, Jr. The students absolutely loved it! PHS students did a wonderful job!
