Free Choice Thursday (11/17) Fourth grade stem classes had free choice Thursday and worked with magnetic tiles, legos, and coding. They also created totem poles that described their community, themselves, and their family.
Thanksgiving Fun (11/17) Ms. Short's class spent some time discussing what they are thankful for this week.
Stock the Pantry Success! (11/16) We are so thankful for everyone that gave to our Jr. Beta Club Stock the Pantry Food Drive! We will be able to bless several families during the holidays this year!
Turkey Division (11/16) Students in Mrs. Burrell's homeroom class are getting festive while practicing their division facts. Students match a division equation with the correct quotient to put the puzzle pieces together and form a turkey. Gobble Gobble!

Activities in STEM Class (11/10) Lately in STEM class, third graders worked on making the longest paper chain using limited supplies and a 20 min time limit. They also read, "The Three Billy Goats Gruff" and had to build a bridge using only straws and pipe cleaners to float their goat across the river. Fourth graders have been studying ancient civilizations. They made a section of the Great Wall of China and added a zip line. They also learned about Canopic Jars in Ancient Egypt and mummified apples.
Encyclopedia Skills (11/9) When students visited the library this week, they learned all about Encyclopedias and how to use them. They worked in small groups to complete a November scavenger hunt.
