Life Lessons at Lunch (1/13) Mrs. Holley and Dr. Horton read "The Tale of Peasey and Beansey" to students during lunch on Friday. The moral of the book is you should always be kind to others.

Studying Story Elements (8/24) Ms. Lewis' fourth grade ELA class worked together on a story elements game. After reading a passage, they took turns rolling a dice and answering questions about the story!
Face Paint Fridays! Starting this Friday, August 26th, we will offer face painting for 50 cents each side. This will take place in the gym before the bell every Friday during football season! Parent volunteers are welcome! We will start at 7:25.
Popsicles! Starting Friday, August 26th, we will sell popsicles at recess for 50 cents until further notice.
Guys With Ties D.T. Cox Elementary is excited to begin a new after school mentoring club! The goal of our Guys with Ties program is to grow our young boys into gentlemen by teaching them the skills to be successful in society. Letters of invitation will be coming home soon. We are seeking community support for our program through donations of ties and snacks. Contact 489-2454 for more information or drop off supplies in our main office.

Cookie Decorating (12/20) Mrs. Boone's students spent time decorating and eating cookies to celebrate working so hard on their benchmark tests!
Gingerbread Houses (12/20) Mrs. Mutch's students worked on a variety of skills they've learned so far by purchasing and pre-designing a gingerbread house. Today they were able to construct the gingerbread houses.
