Fraction Fun (1/9) Mrs. L. Collums' third graders began their fraction unit this week. The students worked in groups to put together fraction bars, then used MathTalk to discuss what they noticed about them. Using manipulatives help students develop their math skills along with engaging them in the process.
Counselor Visit (1/8) Ms. Kinnard, our school counselor, is visiting classrooms this week. The topic of the week is "what's my job at school?" Students are learning that their job is to be kind, safe, respectful, responsible and show integrity.

Waffle Bar! (1/5) Teachers were welcomed back from break with a waffle bar! We are so excited to see all our kiddos on Monday, and begin second semester!!

The Season of Bells! (12/20) Wow! Mrs. Brown’s Third Grade music classes really rang in and brought the holiday cheer with their wonderful musical production of “The Season of Bells!”
Jingle for Janitors Winners (12/19) The homeroom class in each grade that brought in the most change for Jingle for Janitors were treated with cotton candy and soda. Congratulations to Ms. Luther and Ms. McNeil's homerooms!! Thank you to Mrs. Frazier for whipping up the best cotton candy!
Jingle Bell Jukebox (12/19) Mrs. Brown’s 4th Grade music students did a fabulous job on their production of “Jingle Bell Jukebox!”
Book Study (12/19) After reading "The One and Only Ivan," Mrs. Ray's third grade ELA students created an art project similar to what Ivan did in the book.
