Helen Keller Study
(10/26) D.T. Cox gifted students have been learning about Helen Keller. Students have participated in a variety of learning experiences. After studying a blind artist, they took their own turn at "painting in the dark." Students are learning to demonstrate respect and empathy for others despite differences among us. This week, they also had a guest speaker, Mrs. Jenna Patterson, share her knowledge of sign language. Students practiced signing letters of the alphabet, words and phrases, and The Pledge of Allegiance. Click the link for more photos!
