Activity Showcase (9/26) Activity teachers will host an Activity Showcase on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 from 6:00pm-7:00pm. This is a come and go event.
Fourth Grade Musical (9/26) Fourth grade music students will present "Songs of America" on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at 6:00pm. Students report at 5:45pm.
Third Grade Musical (9/25) Third grade music students will present "The Greatest Show" on Monday, October 2, 2023 at 6:00pm. Students need to report at 5:45pm.
Hometown Heroes (9/22) Third and fourth grade gifted students enjoyed listening and learning from a few “hometown heroes” today! Mrs Nancy Maxey, Mrs Susan Hamilton, and Ms CJ Butler talked to the students about how they give of their time and effort to help with Operation Christmas Child. They showed students how to take t-shirts and make jump ropes that they place into the shoeboxes sent to children all over the world. Students also learned how to make balls from T-shirts! Students worked hands-on with our special guests to create their own ball! Students are currently collecting T-shirts at school that will be used to make jump ropes and other items to send to children in need in other countries!
Gift Basket Raffle Fundraiser (9/22) Starting Monday, DT Cox students will be selling raffle tickets for three gift baskets valued at over $500.00! Please see any student to purchase your tickets! 1 for $5.00 or 3 for $10.00. The drawing will take place on October 16th!

What's the Weather? (9/18) During a study of weather in Science class, Mrs. Heatherly's fourth graders chose one month, and researched the weather in MS for that specific month. Then, they made their own weekly forecast to share with the class.
