(11/7) We are so excited for our new bleachers at D.T. Cox Elementary. Thank you parents and community in helping us raise money to give our gym a fresh look!

(11/7) PHS cheerleaders, senior football players and several band members visited DTC for a pep rally last Friday before their first round of playoffs. The kids had a great time!

(11/4) Third and Fourth grade gifted students visited the birthplace of Helen Keller on Wednesday. Students were able to see first hand where Helen grew up and the impact Helen Keller had on the world. It was a great day!

(11/4) Mrs. Boone's class celebrated with donuts after winning the Red Ribbon Week door decorating competition! Congratulations!

(11/3) Students in Mrs. L. Collums class are learning about the different properties of multiplication. Today they “acted” as a doctor and preformed surgery on the arrays breaking it apart to show the distributive property.

(11/2) Students in Mrs. Heatherly's class are studying sound energy and sound waves this week. By using a Cello, students were able to physically see how vibrations change the pitch as they press down on the strings along the neck of the instrument.

Congratulations to the following students for receiving positive office referrals this week! Keep up the good work!

(11/1) DTC Jr. Beta Club organized a service project that will involve all of the schools. We will host a "Stock the Pantry". We will begin collecting items next Monday, November 7th-Wednesday, November 16th. Items collected will be delivered to families in need on Friday, November 18th. Thanks in advance for your generous donations!

(10/31) This week, Ms. Kinnard visited classrooms to discuss the importance of kindness. The students learned “Before you speak, think and be smart. It’s hard to fix a wrinkled heart."
