Twister! (3/30) Mrs. Bishop's P.E. students learned the game of Twister this week. By playing this game, students were able to practice directions (left, right, up, down). It also challenged their strength and coordination.

Important Women in History (3/30) Students in Ms. Spicer's 4th grade class were put into groups, and asked to choose a woman to study for Women’s History Month. Each group completed a body biography highlighting these important women .
Pontotoc City School District Spring 2023 Parent/Guardian Comprehensive Needs Assessment (FY24) The Spring 2023 Comprehensive Needs Assessment is a survey tool used to gather data to determine needs and performance challenges in the district and schools. This survey is also used to set priorities for future action. Your assessment/feedback is vital to the success of our district. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey. You may complete a survey for each of your students in the district.
Music Classes Prepare for Spring Musicals (3/29) In Mrs. Brown’s music classes, students don’t just sing about things, they experience them! As they practice for the upcoming Spring musicals with surfing songs, the classes had an indoor surfing lesson and designed the perfect surfboard! Their artwork will serve as scenery backdrop for the shows!
Journey Through the National Parks (3/24) Journey Through the National Parks Gifted Showcase was a wonderful experience for 3rd and 4th grade UFO students. Students presented their research, projects, and art pertaining to their specific national park to parents and guests as they “toured” throughout the various parks displayed in the hallway.

Playing Games (3/23) Students in Ms. Short's class put their skills to the test as they designed and played their own board games. They had to explain the rules for their game, and the directions of how to play their game to the other students.
Go West! (3/23) DT Cox 4th grade music classes kicked off the week before Spring Break with a wonderful musical presentation of “Go West!” The students sang songs, had narration, and demonstrated a circle dance! All materials were aspects of materials the students had learned about the Chisholm Trail and Oregon trail. We love to put learning to life!
