(9/30) In PE, students participated in an exciting game called In and Out, where they could choose to walk or run 3 laps to earn stackable cups. Each cup added to their team’s tower, challenging students not only physically but also strategically, as they worked together to build the tallest structure possible. The team with the tallest tower at the end was crowned the winner! It was a great mix of fitness, fun, and teamwork!

(9/29) 🦈 Our 3rd graders have been diving deep into science with an exciting unit on sharks! Students in Mrs. Hodum’s and Mrs. Andrews’ classes explored fascinating shark facts, learned about their habitats, and wrapped up their learning by creating their very own shark booklets. We’re so proud of their hard work and creativity—these young scientists really made a splash! 🌊✨

Our staff and students filled the halls with Disney magic today, dressing up as their favorite characters. Everywhere you looked, a famous face came to life!

We can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings—get ready for Dynamic Duo Day! Grab a friend and dress as your favorite famous pair.

(9/19) 📚🎉 Our Read-a-Thon Wrapped Up Today! 🎉📚
Students and teachers showed off their black and gold to celebrate our school spirit! 🖤💛 We've had the BEST WEEK EVER!!
A huge thank you to all of the community members who visited classrooms to read, and to everyone who pledged support for our students.
If you forgot to turn in your pledge sheets or money, please send them on Monday!

(9/19) Today, Mrs. Hodum's students worked with partners to answer a worksheet about popcorn, and pointed out all the different text features within the passage. They celebrated with a popcorn snack!

(9/19) Our 3rd grade gifted classes have been busy researching giraffes, creating colorful posters, and confidently presenting their findings. Also, on International Dot Day (September 15th), students worked together to create a giant tessellation mural made of equilateral triangles and half circles—celebrating their creativity and collaboration! In addition to research, our students are sharpening their critical thinking skills during GRIT time—Games Really Increase Thinking! Whether they're playing strategy games or building with hands-on materials, students are developing their problem-solving skills, and innovative thinking in a fun and engaging environment. We’re so proud of the curiosity, dedication, and enthusiasm these young learners bring to every activity!

(9/19) After learning about natural disasters this week in science, Mrs. Roe's class made mini volcanoes and informational brochures to end the week.
