(11/1) Congratulations to the following students for receiving positive office referrals this week! Keep up the good work!

(10/31) To review their unit on Narrative writing, Mrs. Hodum's students made monsters, wrote narratives about their monsters, and then shared them with their classmates. The students had a spooky, good time!

(10/31) Ms. Spicer's students have been studying sound energy. They learned about sound waves, vibrations, and frequency. They used these terms to give their ghosts (balloons) a voice. When you add a hex nut to a ballon and blow it up, your ghost will show his amazing voice!!

(10/31) Mrs. Chrestman’s students enjoyed dressing up and doing some spooky science activities to apply what they have learned about magnetism, chemical reactions, and density. Students made “zombie hands,” lava lamps, and dancing ghosts. Not only were they able to add several new English words to their vocabulary, but also bring science concepts to life in a fun way.

(10/30) Mrs. Owen's group practiced finding text evidence with some Halloween themed stories.

(10/30) This week during library, Mrs. Dowdy invited our school resource officer, Mr. Jim Littlejohn, and our school counselor, Ms. Kinnard, to come in and talk with the students about peer pressure and making healthy choices.

(10/30) This week, Ms. Lydia’s students made their own haunted houses filled with spooky words. They used these words to practice forming complete sentences with appropriate sounds and grammar.

(10/30) While studying Multiplication Properties, Mrs. Kirk had students work in groups to make their own poster with chart paper and markers discussing and creating each one. Once completed, the students shared their creations with others.
