(10/24) Mrs. Brown’s music classes recently enjoyed a unit study on instruments. Several students experimented with playing an instrument of their choosing!

(10/20) Everyone had a blast at our book fair literacy night! Thank you for everyone who supported our library this week, we appreciate it very much!!

(10/18) Mrs. Hilliard's 3rd grade UFO students presented their hometown hero projects! We were able to hear from a variety of professionals from our community, and learn how they made a positive impact on each person they encountered. This project was encouraging, inspirational, and motivating for both the students and the heroes!

(10/18) Gifted students worked on creating jump ropes to donate to children in need. They up-cycled old t-shirts by sorting them, counting them, stretching the strips, and finally braiding various sections together to create a durable and colorful jump rope! Students collected 147 t-shirts and then turned them into 94 jump ropes! We will continue creating a variety of things from t-shirts, such as bracelets, hair ties, and more jump ropes!

(10/18) Mrs. Owen's students were excited to receive a Nugget for their classroom this week. The Nugget was funded by the Bright Ideas grant.

(10/20) We will celebrate Red Ribbon Week next week. Please see the following graphic for dress up days!

(10/20) Congratulations to the following students for receiving positive office referrals this week! Keep up the good work!

(10/18) PE students are playing The Pumpkin Patch this week. Students roll their pumpkin (ball) into the Pumpkin Patch (hula hoops) and try to get their pumpkin to roll into a hula hoop. After rolling, the student runs and gets the pumpkin and the hoop if it lands inside and stays, if not they only get their pumpkin. They return to their team for the next person to try. Students play this while the music plays. The team with the most hoops at the end of the song is the winner.

(10/18) Some of Mrs. Chrestman’s EL students got to be the “maestro” ( teacher) by helping their classmates who are newly arrived to the United States. They used flashcards to teach them the names of places in English.
