Counselor Introductions (8/5) Students were all smiles as Ms. Kinnard, our school counselor, made her way around the school introducing herself and getting to know them.
Social Contracts (8/5) Mrs. Hodum's third grade classes created classroom rules/expectations by creating social contracts. They signed them as a pledge to follow their social contracts.

Dear Future Self (8/2) On the first day of school, Ms. Spicer's fourth graders wrote letters to their future selves. It will be so fun to look back on the things they wrote!
Beautification Project! (7/31) Our courtyard at DTC received a makeover thanks to our wonderful PTO and Beyond Landscaping. Staff and students will be able to enjoy this area in the coming days!
Back to School Luncheon (7/30) D.T. Cox PTO treated our staff to a wonderful lunch by Ollie Rose Catering. It was DELICIOUS!!

Staff First Day! (7/29) DT Cox teachers and staff had a great first day back! They participated in a fun, back to school scavenger hunt, brainstormed in small groups and even had a delicious ice cream sundae bar provided by our wonderful PTO!
Summer Training (7/11) Several DT Cox teachers participated in SIOP (Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol) training this week. SIOP is a research-based instructional model designed to make content comprehensible for English Learners (ELs) while promoting their English language development. SIOP provides teachers with a structured approach to lesson planning and delivery.
