(10/13)Ms. Kinnard, our school counselor, is still making her rounds talking to students about bullying. Students are having such fun playing a game of trying to "splat" the bully bug!

(10/5) Mrs. Chrestman’s students were rewarded with a fun activity for their hard work on this week’s benchmark tests. After reviewing the states of matter, students discovered the properties of non-Newtonian fluids (matter that can share properties of liquids and solids). They read and followed steps in a process to make slime! Math skills were even incorporated by measuring ingredients and adding fractions.

(10/5) Mrs. Vineyard's students finished up their Hometown Hero presentations! Over the week there were so many opportunities for students to hear from different professionals in our community. This project encouraged the "hometown hero" just as much as it did the students. It was great to see students take pride in interviewing their hero and presenting to their class.

(10/5) Mrs. Vineyard's room has been buzzing with "hometown heroes" throughout the week! Students chose their hero, conducted an interview, and presented their stories to their classmates! We've seen teachers, volunteers from Operation Christmas Child, social workers, medical professionals, and more! It's been a great week of learning!

(10/4) Mrs. Hodum's third graders practiced main idea, supporting details and connections by creating an Oreo Treat. Then, they named the treat and told about the connections they followed to get their final product.

(10/4) Ms. Luther's math students worked hard to solve unknown factor problems for their digital escape room!

(10/4) Fourth grade gifted students enjoyed hearing from local firemen from the Pontotoc Fire Department and linemen from Northeast Mississippi Electric Company. Students were able to hear about how these men "stick their neck out" daily to help others in our community.
