Pontotoc City School District will dismiss at 12:30 pm on Thursday, February 17 due to the threat of inclement weather.

Congratulations to the following students for receiving positive office referrals this week! We are so proud of them!

(2/10)Ms. Holliday's students practiced letter recognition using sensory bags. The students loved this fun and inventive way of remediation!

(2/3) In honor of the Chinese New Year, also known as the Lunar New Year, which was February 1st, Mrs. Burrell’s homeroom class enjoyed authentic Chinese snacks including almond cookies, which are a symbol of good luck and good fortune. 2022 will be the Year of the Tiger.

(2/3) In library this week, students were introduced to Magnolia, a project funded by the state legislature that provides an online research database full of reliable, age appropriate content. To practice using Magnolia, the students researched an animal of their choice and shared their findings with classmates. Each student received a bookmark with log in information. D.T. Cox will take homeroom pictures for the yearbook on February 2nd. Spring Pictures will be taken on March 1st. Dress your best and bring your smile!!

(1/28) Mrs Brown’s 3rd grade music classes have been studying the dynamics of music. Various locations were selected and the students brainstormed and drew examples of things that are loud (forte)or quiet (piano).
