Congratulations to the following students for receiving positive office referrals this week! They were caught showing characteristics of a true Warrior! Keep up the good work!!

(8/19) Mrs. Chrestman’s students put their vocabulary words into use as they show SINCERE CONSIDERATION and EMPATHY as they make get well cards for a hospitalized classmate!

We would like to invite you to our first PTO meeting of the school year! It will be held at D.T. Cox on Thursday, August 25th at 6:00pm. See You there!

(8/10) Typing practice in activity class with Mrs. Ball. Mrs. Clingan's 4th grade students have remembered so much from last year!

(8/16) Fourth grade STEM class spent time in the gym this week finding perimeter of the carpet by using the square tiles on the floor.

(8/11) After reading "The Girl Who Never Made Mistakes," fourth grade gifted students participated in a rather difficult stem challenge. Given specific materials, the students had to work as a team to create a device that would remove as many tissues as possible from the box. The students could not cross the boundaries of the poster board with any body part. Students learned respectful communications, the importance of being a supportive teammate, and that it's ok to make mistakes!

(8/9) Congratulations to these students in Mrs. Chrestman’s 2021-22 third grade class! They passed the rigorous LAS Links English proficiency test, and were awarded a gift certificate to their favorite restaurant. Great job, boys!!

(8/8) Mrs. Burrell’s homeroom students were busy on the first day discussing and creating their own class rules. Students discussed ways to create and maintain an environment that helps them learn best.

(8/8) Mrs. L. Collums' class had fun throwing paper balls with each other’s name on it for their ice breaker activity on the first day of school.

(8/8) DTC Teachers enjoyed an ice cream sundae party to celebrate the beginning of what will be a GREAT year!
