(10/18) Mrs. Owen's students were excited to receive a Nugget for their classroom this week. The Nugget was funded by the Bright Ideas grant.

(10/20) Congratulations to the following students for receiving positive office referrals this week! Keep up the good work!

(10/18) PE students are playing The Pumpkin Patch this week. Students roll their pumpkin (ball) into the Pumpkin Patch (hula hoops) and try to get their pumpkin to roll into a hula hoop. After rolling, the student runs and gets the pumpkin and the hoop if it lands inside and stays, if not they only get their pumpkin. They return to their team for the next person to try. Students play this while the music plays. The team with the most hoops at the end of the song is the winner.

(10/18) Some of Mrs. Chrestman’s EL students got to be the “maestro” ( teacher) by helping their classmates who are newly arrived to the United States. They used flashcards to teach them the names of places in English.

(10/13)Ms. Kinnard, our school counselor, is still making her rounds talking to students about bullying. Students are having such fun playing a game of trying to "splat" the bully bug!

(10/5) Mrs. Chrestman’s students were rewarded with a fun activity for their hard work on this week’s benchmark tests. After reviewing the states of matter, students discovered the properties of non-Newtonian fluids (matter that can share properties of liquids and solids). They read and followed steps in a process to make slime! Math skills were even incorporated by measuring ingredients and adding fractions.
