(8/18) Fourth grader, Lawson Butler, shared his love for the electric guitar with his gifted class on Friday! He was able to tell his classmates all about his hobby and even played and sang for them!

(8/18) Fourth grade gifted students kicked off their Giraffe Hero unit by playing a game of "What's in the Bag?" Students worked together by gaining clues to determine what object was in Mrs. Vineyard's bag! After, they began researching giraffes in order to plan a presentation to teach information learned to their classmates!

(8/18) Ms. Spicer's fourth graders have been studying the states of matter . Today the students were given the prompt below and the needed materials. They had to use their paragraph writing skills to explain the states of matter .

During Science class, Ms. Clingan, Mrs. Heatherly and Mrs. Hall's fourth graders discussed solids, liquids, & gases. They made oobleck and discussed whether they thought it was a solid or a liquid?

(8/17) Mr. Jim Littlejohn, one of our School Resource Officers, raced against fourth graders today at recess. He definitely showed them how it was done!

(817) Mrs. Kirk and Mrs. Lumsden's classes played, "lunch bag line up!' Students worked in groups to put the lunch bags in order from least to greatest, greatest to least, they also rounded the numbers to the tens place/hundreds place and added three digit numbers. This was a fun way to get the students up and moving while practicing their math skills!

(8/15) Ms. Luther's third grade math students are working on estimating to add. When students are able to use different methods of practice, such as dry erase boards, it makes learning fun!
