(10/31) Mrs. Kirk's math classes began learning about area this week. Area is the number of unit squares needed to cover a region. She used painters tape on the floor to make shapes. The students were given instructions to discuss and find the area of each given shape.

(10/30) During Ms. Kinnard's classroom guidance lessons this week, she is discussing the importance of being kind to others. She is leaving the students with an important message to remember: "Kindness starts with you!"

(10/27) Mrs. Heatherly's class studied light energy this week. Today, students learned about the Northern Lights and did chalk art to create them.

(10/27) Students and staff at DT Cox pledged to "be kind to their minds, and live drug free" this week, as they celebrated Red Ribbon Week 2023.

(10/27) UFO students would like to continue making jump ropes and other things for needy children. Please send any new/good condition t-shirts to help out with this project.

(10/27) Congratulations to the following students for receiving positive office referrals this week! Keep up the good work!

(10/20) Mrs. Heatherly's students have been studying recycling. The students had a great time recycling things and turning them into really cool things such as a snack cart, cars, and even an outdoor shower!

(10/24) Mrs. Brown’s music classes recently enjoyed a unit study on instruments. Several students experimented with playing an instrument of their choosing!

(10/20) Everyone had a blast at our book fair literacy night! Thank you for everyone who supported our library this week, we appreciate it very much!!

(10/18) Mrs. Hilliard's 3rd grade UFO students presented their hometown hero projects! We were able to hear from a variety of professionals from our community, and learn how they made a positive impact on each person they encountered. This project was encouraging, inspirational, and motivating for both the students and the heroes!
