(2/15) Mrs. Chrestman's fourth grade class read the novel "The Twits" by Roald Dahl and acted out a play based on the book, complete with costumes and props. Students had learned about elements of drama, so it was fun to bring them to life.

Congratulations to the following students for receiving positive office referrals this week! These students were caught showing characteristics of a true Warrior! Great Job!!

(2/15) Mrs. Brown’s 3rd grade classes are traveling around the musical globe! Monday’s stop was in Mexico, where students learned about Mexican history, culture and instruments. The class also learned a song in Spanish using color words and careers. Our EL students helped check work of fellow students for correct translations!

(2/15) Ms. Holliday's class had a great time celebrating Valentine's Day this week!

(2/10) Ms. Luther's 3rd graders participated in an online Valentine's Day escape room. They practiced their math skills while trying to escape. This was a fun way to remediate skills!

(2/10) Mrs. Owen's 4th grade ELA students discover themes in their novel, "Bud, Not Buddy."

(2/10) Ms. Spicer and Mrs. Heatherly’s classes have learned about building a bow and shooting it. They also learned about the legend behind Punxsutawney Phil and how he is cared for. Students were tasked with building the bow and arrow with the stipulation of it’s arrow(a partial q tip) flying at least five feet. The students also had to design a groundhog’s burrow. The students researched it and the only stipulations were that it had to have a separate entrance and exit and a nest. Finally, students are learning to read schematics to organize legos for robotics. Click the link for more pictures.

Pontotoc City School District will dismiss at 12:30 pm on Thursday, February 17 due to the threat of inclement weather.
