(8/26) Fourth grade gifted students are off to a great start! This week they've learned about their AMAZING brain, presented research to their classmates, learned the importance of mindfulness, and completed the Hula Hoop Challenge. They've learned that working together takes good leaders and effective communication among group members! Click the link for more photos!

(8/26) Mrs. Foster's 4th grade math students pulled randomly numbered ping pong balls to practice addition and subtraction. They had to pick two balls and then add those numbers and then take the same numbers and subtract.

(8/26) Face Paint Fridays are BACK at DTC!! Each Friday morning during football season, we will be painting faces before the bell. 50 cents per side. Parent volunteers are welcome!!

The following students received positive office referrals this week. They each were caught showing characteristics of a true Warrior! Congratulations!

(8/25) Our students have been learning about clouds during STEM class. They’ve recently learned about types of clouds and how they can indicate the weather. The students enjoyed experimenting with creating rain through a shaving cream cloud.

(8/25) Math Workshop is in full swing in Mrs. Burrell’s room. During Math Workshop, students are engaged in “hands-on” learning activities that engage students while enriching previously learned math skills. This is also a time where students receive enrichment or remediation in a small group with their teacher. Students are really enjoying Math Workshop this year!

We will have a PTO (Parent/Teacher Organization) meeting tonight at 6:00pm. We will meet in the front cafeteria. We hope you will come out and join us!

Homecoming Dress Up Days will be September 12-16, 2022. We can't wait to see what our students come up with!!

(8/19) This week, Ms. Spicer's ELA class has been working on standard RL 4.2 . Madelyn D. wrote a story for her classmates to practice identifying the theme. The students really enjoyed reading her story to practice the skill . Great Job, Madelyn!
