🏮✨ Ancient China Comes to Life in Our Gifted Classrooms! ✨🏮

(3/23) Gifted students recently wrapped up an incredible unit on Ancient China, and what a journey it has been! Throughout this unit, students explored the rich history, culture, and traditions of Ancient China in hands-on and meaningful ways.
Students expressed their learning through creative art projects, bringing elements like the Great Wall, dragons, and Chinese symbols to life. They also stepped into history by learning about daily life, inventions, and cultural traditions that still influence the world today.
One of the highlights was learning to play Mahjong, where students were challenged to think strategically, recognize patterns, and collaborate with one another. Their excitement and growth during this experience was amazing to watch!
They enjoyed a special field trip to China Capital, where students experienced Chinese culture through food—an opportunity to connect classroom learning to the real world.
To wrap up the unit, gifted teachers hosted a “Mahjong & Mingle” Family Night, where students proudly showcased their work, shared what they learned, and even taught their families how to play Mahjong. It was a wonderful evening celebrating learning, culture, and community.
